The Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons.) Graduates are prepared for roles such as Data Scientist, Business Intelligence Consultant, IT Business Analyst, and Web Analyst.
Program Structure
- Year 1: Foundational courses including Mathematical Techniques, Computer Programming, Database Systems, Operating Systems, and Discrete Mathematics and Probability.
- Year 2: Intermediate topics such as Data Structures and Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, System Analysis and Design, Financial Accounting for Managers, and Human Computer Interaction.
- Year 3: Advanced subjects including Business Intelligence, Technology Transfer, Business Process Modelling, Enterprise Resource Planning, and a capstone project.
Entry Requirements
- Pass Foundation/Matriculation studies in a related field from a recognised institution and a Credit in Mathematics at SPM Level or its equivalent.
- Pass STPM or its equivalent with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in any 2 subjects and a Credit in Mathematics at SPM Level or its equivalent.
- Pass A-Level with a minimum of Grade D in any 2 subjects and a Credit in Mathematics at SPM Level or its equivalent.
- Pass UEC with a minimum of Grade B in at least five (5) subjects inclusive of Mathematics and English.
- Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Information Systems with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and a Credit in Mathematics at SPM Level or its equivalent.
